New technologies have dramatically transformed the way people teach and learn, with characteristic high-speed delivery, visually engaging and interactive content, and customised experiences.

As a recognised leader and pioneer in many technological domains, ST Electronics is primed to capture the education market backed by its track record which spans four decades.

Since 2000, ST Electronics has been equipping schools with innovative applications to enhance learning – these include its recent award to upgrade the network infrastructure for 60 schools under the Ministry of Education (MOE) to the Infocomm Development Authority and MOE’s landmark FutureSchools@Singapore project to equipping Temasek Polytechnic with a campus-wide wireless network infrastructure and implementing its i-School system in schools.

Despite having only recently entered the IDM industry, ST Electronics has won international acclaim for its efforts. Its first feature project, The Ten Commandments, jointly undertaken with Promenade Pictures (which has its roots in Hollywood) and Huhu Studios (an animation studio in New Zealand), in 2005 – launched in the US cinemas in 2007. Its partnership with Weta Workshop of New Zealand as well as Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana Studios of Canada, led to the production of Jane and the Dragon, which received several nominations for international awards.
