Civil servants from Paraguay are visiting South Korea to learn how to establish and run an e-government platform. The visit was organised by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security’s training centre for public employees and the Korea International Cooperation Agency.
These 16 Paraguay civil servants will stay in South Korea for a week and a half to learn the intricacies of setting up an e-government.
The visit comes after President Lee Myung-bak made a promise to Paraguay’s President Fernando Lugo to support the South American country’s e-government projects. The agreement was reached during Lugo’s visit to Seoul in June.
The group of Paraguayan employees will tour the centre of the National Computing and Information Resources Administration, Samsung SDS, Hyundai Motor and POSCO.
