Government officials in Singapore will soon respond directly to comments on an internet discussion board.
Dr Amy Khor, chairman of Reach, the Government’s official feedback arm, said she was holding talks with various ministries to join the discussion on Reach’s web site.
“Recognising that the whole process of engagement and consultation is as important as the outcome itself, Reach will continue to work with government agencies to act on and respond to feedback in a timely manner and keep contributors abreast of the status of their feedback,” she said.
“Towards this end, government agencies, could, where it is useful, respond to feedback on our discussion forums,” she added.
Minister of Community Development, Youth and Sports Vivian Balakrishnan had given Dr Khor the task of addressing Reach-related questions in the debate on the Ministry’s budget.
