Tax and Revenue Management: A government’s lifeblood

IT has provided the opportunities for governments to remodel the entire process of tax collection over the last decade. It is, however, a continuously evolving process and governments the world over need to constantly upgrade their tax systems to optimise their revenue workflows.

Unlocking Public Value

A recent SAP study confirmed that those organisations which adopt best practices in the areas of scope and adoption, process standardisation, technology and customer governance, do perform better, and do so as their best practice maturity increases.

Saeed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dewa, launched the promotional campaign under the slogan “Save your time, save your energy”.

The campaign, which will last for six months, will be launched in several languages, besides Arabic and English, in order to ensure effective communication with a mass audience.

This is the largest and the longest campaign undertaken by the government in the UAE,” claimed Al Tayer.

Al Tayer said Dewa is committed to helping Dubai’s e-government strategy succeed, which will involve making radical changes to government services provided to residents and the business sector.

Dubai’s e-government offers a unified portal for the public to pay their bills electronically and at no cost by using the online payment gateway (ePay).

Al Tayer said 97 per cent of Dewa services are now accessible online.
