IT has provided the opportunities for governments to remodel the entire process of tax collection over the last decade. It is, however, a continuously evolving process and governments the world over need to constantly upgrade their tax systems to optimise their revenue workflows.
A recent SAP study confirmed that those organisations which adopt best practices in the areas of scope and adoption, process standardisation, technology and customer governance, do perform better, and do so as their best practice maturity increases.
The advent of social media has seen governments hopping onto the bandwagon in a bid to further engage citizens.

For many years, analogue CCTV systems have been the only video surveillance option in the market. It is only in recent years that video surveillance became digitised and equipped with many technologies and functions which the analogue CCTV systems could not provide to users previously.
Today, with the availability of IP-based video security systems, users can now enjoy many advantages with this system as compared to the traditional analogue systems – that include higher resolution, greater intelligence and easier, more flexible installation. Yet, despite the obvious edge that IP-based video security systems have, almost 70% of the market has still not made the migration due to existing infrastructure investments. Naturally, in light of current economic conditions, this is hardly surprising. Organisations are looking at minimising costs while at the same time, trying to get as much out of their existing investments as possible - so the benefits of adopting an IP-based video security will have to wait. Or will they?
At Sony, it is believed that security should never be compromised because it is an important tool to protect and safeguard your assets. If you need the flexibility of an IP-based video surveillance system but yet, already have the analogue CCTV system in place, what can you do?
The perfect situation is to start your migration to IP without throwing away your analogue systems. How? The answer is to adopt a hybrid platform. Just by integrating the old and new cameras in a hybrid platform, you can protect your existing investments while also ensuring fewer false alarms, more efficient monitoring and clearer imagery.
With Sony’s unique hybrid video technology - designed specifically for security - you can integrate any combination of analogue and IP equipment, from both Sony and other manufacturers. This will help to manage your video security solution cost effectively and also pave the way for full IP migration in the future. All these can be made possible with Sony’s complete portfolio of hybrid video security solutions - from cameras and recorders to software, encoders and monitors.
To begin, lay the foundation for your hybrid video security environment with Sony’s NSR-1000 Series. These hybrid recorders are built on an open platform design, so they can accept video feeds from both analogue and IP cameras as well SD and HD monitor signals. This means that they are fully compatible with your current equipment while allowing you to migrate to new and future technologies over time.
For those who are looking to take your analogue security solution to a new level, you need to look no further than Sony’s new encoders. The SNT-EX/EP series is a full lineup of video encoders designed to meet various system requirements. Choose from 1-channel and 4-channel standalone models as well as rack stations that accept 4-channel blades. These video encoders not only convert analog video signals to a digital video stream for IP-based networks, but also improve the picture quality of the original signals with state-of-the-art image enhancing technology. What’s more, it also includes DEPA Advanced™ intelligent video and audio analytics.
With Sony, your future is safe. Migrate with a peace of mind and know that you are always the one in control.

Although Analog CCTV System is very old but still end user is not agree to migrate, the main reason which I observe is that manufacturer they keep improving and make it easiest as compare to IP based system. In a small medium business analog cctv is popular, if you go for a corporate level ; few of them are ready to go with IP CCTV but still there is a sector which are still with analog and always prefer to get analog cctv.
Now a day video analytics are very hot in the market, in start of video analytics very few of the champions knows that video analytics based on camera result (doesn’t matter its analog or IP), now in the analog market more then 700TVL cameras are available which is sufficient for a corporate environment.
Financial shape of IP systems is too high as compare to analog, but all the things which can integrated with IP based cctv can be integrate with Analog.
