Previously known as Public Transport Enquiry Service, Hong Kong eTransport enables users to search for possible public transport routes based on individual preference, such as number of transfers, fare, estimated journey time and transport modes, with search results displayed in table form and on a map.

It’s mobile version can facilitate route and information searching through the smartphone’s global positioning system, users only need to set their current location and destination.

On the other hand, Driving Route Search Service has been upgraded, from its launch last April 2010, now with a mobile version of the online service.

The search service is made more convenient, provides more useful road information and enhanced search power, and can now be accessed anytime, anywhere, when needed.

According to Assistant Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Leung Tak-fai,”Using mobile phones for internet access has become very popular in recent years. The department and the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer has leveraged on this to help travellers search for suitable public transport routes while on the move anytime and anywhere.”
