Called Pay as You Print Optimisation, the MPS contract means that Fuji Xerox Australia will provide assessment and tailored services to more than 2200 schools in NSW over the next four years.

This means that there will be a current state analysis of each school that requests to be part of the Pay as You Print Optimisation programme, and once the print environment and requirements are understood by the vendor, a solution will be designed to provide schools with the necessary number of printing devices and education institutions can then pay only for the pages they have printed.

Fuji Xerox Australia will also be responsible for centrally managing all of DEC’s 60,000 print, copy and fax devices.

DEC hopes that an optimised print infrastructure can help streamline campus operations and “empower teachers to spend more time on education”.
