Entering its fourth phase now, e-Invoices will be rolled out by 10 more businesses in sectors including clothing, food & beverage, electric servicing, healthcare products and state run services.

The Ministry also launched an award for best participating businesses, and the four winners are PX Mart, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department stores, Giordano clothing and Chungyo department stores.

Since its launch last December, more than 15 million electronic invoices have been issued. All 4800 outlets of 7-Eleven are rolling out e-invoices by end of this year, and Su Chun-jung, Director General of Ministry of Finance’s Financial Data Centre, believes that will ensure the target of 50 million electronic invoices will be met.

Su expects the number of electronic invoices to hit 2 billion next year.

The Ministry encourages citizens and businesses to check www.einvoice.nat.gov.tw for updates of the programme; it also has a 24 hour free service hotline for e-Invoice related issues.
