ELEVATING CITIZEN ENGAGEMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURES
New Zealand Government has just announced their Direction and Priorities for Government ICT as a structure for their ICT movements in 2012. Better infrastructures and enhancing citizen engagement are one of the major areas that they are focusing on. It aims to re-use existing technology resources more efficiently and at the same time reduce cost in future acquisitions by placing new policy direction that said to replace 2006’s eGovernment Strategy. New Zealand’s e-government efforts are set to give more transparent and accessible services to its citizens.
