Rahul is the Assistant Editor at FutureGov where he covers physical and information security issues, as well as general public sector modernisation across the region.

Previously Rahul was a digital media lecturer, responsible for e-learning. He also managed IT procurement at a government statutory board in Singapore.

Born in India, Rahul migrated to Singapore where he is now based, and was a scholar at the University of Southern California where he studied Computer Science. UK audit confirms progress in open govt agenda

A new report from UK’s National Audit Office (NAO) says that the progress in UK’s open government agenda has been good. It has achieved some noteworthy results; for instance, at the end of last year, the police crime map web site had recorded 47 million visits, and the Department of Education had seen an 84 per cent increase in annual use of comparative school data.

Indian City Police undergo ICT training to track criminals

In a pilot scheme, 20 policemen from Kozhikode, in the state of Kerala, are undergoing ICT training in the state’s Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS). The training consists of training police officers in creating databases and collecting biometric data of criminals.
